Held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at VansForVets.Org's Warner Robins, GA Outreach Center was a great success. Organized by Chapter President, Ms. Joy Mann Simmons, the event attracted over 50 visitors and 20 youth visitors most of whom have parents or family members on Active Duty in one of the armed services.
Entertainment was provided by Tucker Simmons (shown at bottom left in photo below), Ms. Simmons' son, who is a gifted musician and loves to play Jazz guitar with specialization in 'guitar licks' and 'riff's'!
Attendees watched videos, enjoyed music, dancing, enjoyed various snacks, pizza and soda's. Most of the supporters have family members serving on Active Duty in the Armed Services with some having parents who are deployed on active war zones in the Middle East.
Warner Robins Chapter President, Joy Simmons, said that the Chapter has many family events planned in the coming months and invites all interested parties to contact her for more information or to Volunteer to join the Chapter...and 'get involved to help our Vet's and Families'.
Thanks to all who attended and made this event so special for our children and our Vet-Families!
Many of Dr. Resnick's inventions including the Exo Skeletal Exercise Suit developed for NASA; Reactive Body Armor; Passive IR (See-Thru-Wall) Garments; Instruments built for use in the Space Shuttle Fleet...and much more will be on display at this event....Don't miss it...
